SOME MORE FACTS
In the update debuting the twins to the world, Beyonce announced that the day marked a month since their birth making their birthday June 14.
Fans had already speculated that this was when the star went into labour, as she was seen leaving her mansion and security at her local hospital was apparently stepped up.
She then failed to show up to the Songwriters Hall Of Fame Awards in New York the next day.
A source told TMZ the superstar singer did not carry out her pregnancy to full-term and so the newborn babies were being kept “under the lights”.
Bili lights are a form of phototherapy which is designed to eliminate high levels of bilirubin in the blood.
This could mean the twins had jaundice – a term used to describe the yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes.
Jaundice is common among newborns and is especially common for premature babies.
The Carter clan made sure that the pregnancy was kept under wraps while Beyonce came to term.
All photos and videos of the star and her growing bump were released by the family on her website, beyonce.com.
While there was no official announcement at the time, the births were confirmed on June 18, 2017, when Beyonce’s father announced she had given birth to twins.
